Main research contents
The protocol research contents of Center are put forward by the latest trend of development of the rail transit technology, southwest Jiao tong university, the early stage of the research situation and the expected results, and tang car company cooperation project. Latest and medium-term intends to carry out the research contents include:
(1) Green initiative, humane, intelligent integration of urban rail transit technology
Take the modern tram as the carrier, make a comprehensive cross system research of the green, humane, intelligent systems. And set clear objectives connotation, create new traffic patterns, plan key technology, build technology innovation system. Green initiative is the conditions and requirements, intelligence is the means and ways, humanities is the fundamental and core.
(2) Technology tram based on fuel cell
We need to break through vehicle fuel cell technologies, including fuel cell system design and its drive system, the application of fuel cell technology, traction drive system based on fuel cell technology. We can realize the application of fuel cell in the streetcar through the onboard fuel cell tram system design, and form fuel cell trams products which can achieve charge first and long range drive.
(3) The medium-speed maglev train technology
Develop medium-speed maglev train with 150 km speed based on the development of the second generation of low-speed maglev train technology in southwest Jiao tong university Changzhou rail transit institute .By means of car line coupling relationship research, propose circuit design techniques, with the help of the city operation control technology, form a complete medium-speed maglev train transportation technology, and realize the industrialization and engineering.
(4) HTS (high temperature superconducting) maglev train technology
In February 2013, Southwest Jiao tong university successfully developed China's first manned HTS maglev car ring test facilities .And on the basis of principle prototype, it studied a large capacity and engineering of high temperature superconducting maglev train technology, theoretically HTS maglev train speed can reach 500 km/h; Vacuum pipe ultra-high-speed HTS maglev train speed can reach 1000 km/h.
(5) Virtual rail train technology
This technology research and development is based on low cost virtual railway train, researching virtual circuit navigation technology like the video navigation line identification, magnetic line navigation, satellite navigation, and independent wheel chassis technology ,it also researches 100% low floor vehicle technology, wheel hub direct driving tracking traction control technology, and mixed way communication signal system and control technology and so on, This technology forms a new virtual railway technology, and will promote the development of industrialization.
(6) Non-contact transmission technology
Center researches efficient power wireless transmission method, improves the transmission efficiency and power, reduces the electromagnetic radiation, increases the volume and weight of the power density, and develop engineering non-contact transmission device.
